About This Racer

The Traxxas Slash® Late Model BL-2s is a 1/10 scale rear-wheel drive dirt oval racer built to be competition-ready straight out of the box. It puts a full-fendered Late Model stock car body on Slash's proven platform, paired with factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty components, aluminum GTR shocks, the Magnum 272R™ transmission, and the BL-2s™ brushless power system — no assembly required.

Does this come with a battery and charger?

No — battery and charger are sold separately. This racer uses a 2S LiPo (7.4V) or 6–7 cell NiMH battery. The Traxxas EZ-Peak® charger (2970) handles both chemistry types.

How fast does it go?

35+ mph on a 2S LiPo. It's 2S-only — do not run a 3S or higher battery with this ESC.

What's a Late Model, and how is it different from other dirt oval racers?

Late Model is a specific dirt oval racing class — full-fendered stock car body with a roof, roll cage, and enclosed rear wheels. It's the classic American dirt oval look. The body is pre-painted and Ready-To-Race® with a molded driver figure inside.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes — Skill Level 1. Training Mode limits throttle to 50%, and 2S brushless at 35+ mph is fast but manageable. Waterproof electronics mean you don't need to worry about wet conditions.

Can I run this on a dirt oval track?

That's exactly what it's built for. It also works well on pavement, packed dirt, and grass. The Hoosier Angle Block tires are designed for oval track conditions.
