The Traxxas Jato 3.3 is what happens when you take a 1/10-scale nitro stadium truck and tune it for pure speed. Sixty-five-plus (65+) mph from a 3.3 cc engine in a 5.2-pound truck—that’s the Jato’s whole proposition. It is 2WD, which means less drivetrain drag, a lower center of gravity than a 4WD monster, and a chassis that rewards a driver who knows how to work the controls. This is a Skill Level 5 vehicle, and that rating is serious—the Jato isn’t forgiving, but in the hands of an experienced driver it’s one of the fastest nitro trucks Traxxas has ever built.
The 6061-T6 aluminum chassis, adjustable two-speed transmission, full suspension tunability, and factory-installed telemetry system make this a platform with genuine race DNA. It’s not built for casual backyard bashing—it’s built for speed that not everyone can handle.
Nitro Fuel
Traxxas Top Fuel, 20% or 33% nitromethane. Not included—must be purchased separately.
Eight AA Alkaline Batteries
Four AA alkaline batteries for the TQi transmitter, and four AA alkaline batteries for the receiver pack.
The Jato 3.3 is a 1/10-scale stadium truck—low, lean, and built for speed. At 5.2 pounds it’s roughly half the weight of a comparable 4WD nitro monster truck, and that weight advantage shows up directly in acceleration and top-end performance.

TRX 3.3 Racing Engine
The same 3.3 cc TRX engine that powers the Revo—but in a truck that weighs half as much. Large-bore piston and sleeve, knife-edged connecting rod, super-light piston assembly, high-volume dual-stage air filter, and a tuned blue aluminum Resonator exhaust pipe. The blue-anodized aluminum cooling head manages heat during sustained high-speed runs. This is the engine that makes 65+ mph possible in a 1/10-scale package.
EZ-Start Electric Starting System
One button lights the glow plug and cranks the engine. No pull cord. Status LEDs confirm system readiness. The starter box, NiMH battery, and charger are all included—the NiMH battery powers the EZ-Start system, not the receiver.
TQi 2.4 GHz Radio System with Telemetry
A 2-channel 2.4 GHz transmitter with the Traxxas Link Wireless Module (6511) factory-installed, paired with a 5-channel TSM micro receiver (6533) in the vehicle. The 6511 connects to the free Traxxas Link app (iOS and Android) for real-time speed, RPM, and temperature telemetry. Settings for up to 30 Traxxas Link-enabled models are stored automatically. The enclosed radio box keeps electronics protected from dirt and fuel.
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM)
TSM provides steering correction to help maintain composure during hard acceleration and braking on low-traction surfaces, and keeps the truck tracking straight during throttle-on powerslides—without dulling throttle response or slowing the vehicle. Adjustable from off to 100% from the transmitter.
Blue-Anodized Aluminum Chassis
Strong 3 mm 6061-T6 aluminum construction with a removable roll hoop to protect critical chassis components. The low-profile 75 cc fuel tank keeps the center of gravity down and extends run time.
ProGraphix Painted Body
Pre-painted with applied decals, aggressive aerodynamic profile, rear wing, and integrated dirt guards that shield the chassis from dirt and rocks. Wheelie bar included.
Transmission & Drivetrain
Adjustable two-speed transmission dialed for both acceleration and top-end speed. Sealed gearbox, fully tunable sealed limited-slip gear differential, Torque-Control slipper clutch with semi-metallic pads and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates, true constant-velocity U-joint driveshafts with rubber seals, and a large-diameter semi-metallic brake disc.
Steering
High-torque Traxxas 2055 steering servo with a high-performance bellcrank system that eliminates bump steer.
Suspension
Full adjustability—caster, camber, toe, anti-squat, ride height, weight bias, and roll-center. Front and rear sway bars. Captured rod ends that won’t pop off under load.
Shocks
GTR shocks with threaded bodies for precise ride height adjustment. Hard-anodized, PTFE-coated bodies with white powder-coated springs.
Wheels & Tires
Super-sticky 2.8-inch Anaconda performance tires with foam inserts on 2.8-inch bright chrome wheels.
The Jato 3.3 is a Skill Level 5 vehicle—the top of Traxxas’s experience scale. It’s designed for experienced nitro drivers who are comfortable tuning an engine, dialing in a two-speed transmission, and managing a fast, rear-wheel-drive chassis at speed. If you’re new to nitro, this isn’t the right starting point—but if you’ve been running nitro for a while and want to know what this platform is actually capable of, the Jato 3.3 will answer that question quickly.
