Key Features

Five unit types in seventeen models is unusually broad for a box this size, and it means the force covers ranged fire, close assault and character support without anything else added to it.

The upgrade frame and transfer sheet are the other half of the value here. Together they carry the Ultramarines iconography, shoulder pad detail and squad markings that would otherwise need buying separately or painting freehand, and the upgrade parts fit other multipart Space Marine kits in the same collection.

Who It's For

The clearest starting point in the Space Marine range, and a sensible first 40K army generally. Ultramarines are the Chapter every other Chapter is described against, so learning them makes the rest of the faction easier to read. It also works as an expansion for an existing Ultramarines collection that lacks a Librarian.
