The Rustler 4X4 VXL Ultimate is the fully loaded version of Traxxas' benchmark 1/10 scale stadium truck. It takes the proven Rustler 4X4 VXL platform and adds over $400 in factory-installed premium upgrades: color-matched 6061-T6 aluminum C-hubs, steering blocks, and rear hub carriers; an aluminum chassis stiffener; GTR aluminum shocks with PTFE-coated bodies and TiN-coated shafts; a factory-installed Traxxas Link Wireless Module with telemetry sensors; and 2.8" Gravix™ tires on RXT™ wheels. What battery do I need?

The VXL-3s ESC supports 2S or 3S LiPo, or 6–9 cell NiMH. A 3S LiPo gives you the full 65+ mph performance the system is built for. A 2S LiPo still delivers strong brushless performance at a more manageable speed.
