What batteries do I need?: Eight AA alkaline batteries total — four for the transmitter and four for the receiver pack. These are not included.
Is the engine included and ready to run?: Yes — the TRX 3.3 Racing Engine comes fully installed. The EZ-Start system is included with a starter battery and charger. You’ll need fuel and AA batteries, then a few minutes to prime and break in the engine before your first full-throttle run.
What is TSM and how does it work on the Nitro Slash?: TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) monitors the vehicle’s direction continuously and makes steering corrections to keep it tracking straight. Under hard acceleration it prevents fishtailing and spinouts, through corners it helps maintain your intended line, and under braking it keeps the truck arrow-straight until you stop. TSM works purely through steering inputs — it does not limit throttle or reduce wheel spin. Adjustable from 0 to 100% from the transmitter, or turn it off entirely.
