The Nitro Slash is the short course truck for drivers who want raw nitro power without the complexity of 4WD. The award-winning TRX 3.3 Racing Engine delivers tire-melting thrust in a lightweight 2WD chassis — punishing off the line, hard-charging in the corners, and backed by the legendary durability that made the Slash platform a standard. The EZ-Start system means you’re running in seconds, not minutes, and the 150 cc fuel tank keeps you out there longer between pit stops.
Dressed in a bold multi-color Hawaiian ProGraphix® painted body with applied decals — bright, eye-catching, and impossible to miss on the course.
1/10 scale — about the size of a pizza box laid flat. Assembled dimensions: 22.24 in × 11.65 in × 7.40 in (565 × 296 × 188 mm). Wheelbase: 13.07 in (332 mm). Weight: 5.76 lbs (2.61 kg).
The Nitro Slash is for experienced RC drivers ready to step into serious nitro performance. Skill Level 4 — this truck rewards drivers who know how to tune and maintain a nitro powerplant. If you’re new to nitro, plan some time to get familiar with engine tuning before your first run.

No — nitro fuel is not included. Traxxas recommends Top Fuel 20% or 33% nitromethane blend. Available at most hobby shops.
Eight AA alkaline batteries total — four for the transmitter and four for the receiver pack. These are not included.
Yes — the TRX 3.3 Racing Engine comes fully installed. The EZ-Start system is included with a starter battery and DC charger. You’ll need nitro fuel, AA batteries, and a wall AC adapter (TRA2976, sold separately) if you don’t have a 12V DC source handy — then a few minutes to prime and break in the engine before your first full-throttle run.
TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) monitors the vehicle’s direction continuously and makes steering corrections to keep it tracking straight. Under hard acceleration it prevents fishtailing and spinouts, through corners it helps maintain your intended line, and under braking it keeps the truck arrow-straight until you stop. TSM works purely through steering inputs — it does not limit throttle or reduce wheel spin. Adjustable from 0 to 100% from the transmitter, or turn it off entirely.
