The blades are ultra-thin, roughly a third the thickness of the previous model, so they fit into tight spaces on the frame and you can see what you are cutting. They meet flush on the back, which means the cut lands closer to the part: less cleanup afterward, and less risk of a tiny component pinging across the room. A bump-stopping design makes it impossible to mash the blades together under too much pressure, which is what dulls a pair of cutters early. The handles are rubberised and contoured with flares near the blades, and they are extended, so each cut takes less force.
